IP Week-14 Refine Concept & WIP
I tried to change a bit my concept because after I listen to my lecturer's feedback. My lecturer said it's better to have a sound effect when the user is self-regulating. So, I was thinking if the phone dock has 2 modes, one is normal wireless charging, another one is self-regulation wireless charging. Therefore, I can have more sound effects to apply in my product, which are Open SFX, Self-regulation SFX, Warning SFX, and Shut Down SFX. However, after consulting the lecturer, my lecturer said this would be different from what I originally intended. Because now users have options, they can choose not to use the self-regulation feature. But my purpose is to let people know how to self-regulate. So, I gave up using this concept and using the previous concept.
At the same time, I received some feedback from my peers, some of them said that the prototype 2.0's light line should be wider. Some of them think the outcome will too big, and suggested I can create another version of is table wireless charger. For the production size, I think I cannot make it smaller because of technical issues (I need a big space to contain Arduino and other components).
Here is the code I try to approach the new concept but I am not going to use:

Besides concept and code, this week I also try to make the wireless charger's body. For the body, I am going to use CNC machine to cut it out. I use VCurve Pro software to use CNC, here is CNC software interface look like:
In order to use CNC, I bought 2 cutting boards to stick them together because I need a thick wood board. After that, I used white glue to stick them together. But I want to save material so I just stick one side and clamp one side. As a result, the wood board tilt up, and the lecturer said that I have to stick them again to make them flat otherwise the 2 wood boards cannot use anymore. So, I try to use white glue and thin paper to fill up other places that I didn't fill before and use more clamps to clamp it.
